Avengers Endgame Review

Hank Johnson

Adrift in space with no food or water, Tony Stark sends a message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply starts to dwindle. Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers — Thor, Black Widow, Captain America, and Bruce Banner — must figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies for an epic showdown with Thanos — the Mad Titan who decimated the planet and the universe.

The Russo brothers are back for another massive, emotional, funny, superhero tentpole movie. The movie is complete fan service. But not in the negative way that the term fan service is usually used. This fan service is completely earned, this movie has been built up for 10 years and 20 movies. Nothing else is like the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though it is commonplace for us, a shared universe between movies was never seen before outside of a few tiny instances, but nothing on this massive scale. The movie blends a crazy mish-mash of stories that oftentimes become muddled together but do come together and make sense at the end. Though your enjoyment of this movie is not dependent on your seeing the past films, it certainly improves the experience due to many callbacks and direct references to past movies. The movie is a fun bash fit for all ages. I highly recommend it.
