What’s better than tasty pumpkin cookies for this lovely fall weather? Right, nothing. In this article you can find the recipe for these yummy desserts.

 

Ingredients:

1 cup white sugar

1 egg

1 cup shortening

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup canned pumpkin

 

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Grease cookie sheets

In a large bowl, cream together sugar, egg, shortening, and vanilla.

Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

Stir into the creamed mixture.

Stir in pumpkin.

Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.

Bake 10 to 15 minutes in the oven.

 

You can top the cookies with any topping of your choice, or you can also leave them simple.
